49ers from before and after 2011

The 49ers are a great team. But that wasn't the same two years ago. From 2003-2010 they only won 36% of their games and their record was 46-82. From 2011-2012 they improved to 24-7-1, winning 77%. From 2003-2010 they didn't make the Playoffs but in 2011 and 2012 they made it to the NFC Championship and Super Bowl.

Dennis Erickson, Mike Nolan, and Mike Singletary were terrible coaches for the 49ers. They never made the playoffs their 8+ years of coaching the 49ers. After Jim Harbaugh came they went to the playoffs two straight years. The 49ers are amazing with Jim Harbaugh, but the question is why. Did they win because of Harbaugh's attitude, style of coaching, or the players he helped get?

  

Mike Nolan 2005-2008. When Mike Nolan was coach almost every team they played they lost. When Mike Nolan was coach he had one of the worst records. If you were a 49ers fan when Mike Nolan was coach you would be happy to win one game.

Jim Harbaugh 2011 &onward. The 49ers really improved in 2011. Very few of the teams beat the 49ers when Harbaugh was coach
